MilkTestNZ is a world leading milk testing laboratory using highly automated processes and advanced technology. All of New Zealand's dairy farm supplier samples are tested at MilkTestNZ. A range of microbiology, composition, analytical and specialty tests are carried out in the laboratory. A range of milk types are tested including cow, goat, sheep, buffalo and deer milk.
MilkTestNZ was established in 1984 by 5 dairy companies. It was known as South Auckland Independent Testing Limited (SAITL) until 2011 where the name was changed to how customers know us today – MilkTestNZ.
By the mid-1990s MilkTestNZ was testing the majority of dairy farms from the central and upper North Island. In 2004 MilkTestNZ expanded its testing base to include samples from the South Island. In 2005 all samples were being tested at the one location in Hamilton.
MilkTestNZ continues to be the world leader in milk testing and tests all of the dairy farm samples from across the country. MilkTestNZ has established itself as an independent laboratory providing high quality results with a rapid turn- around time.
During the peak season, MilkTestNZ process over 25,000 samples per day. In addition to the standard milk tests required for farmer payment and milk quality purposes, MilkTestNZ has expanded its testing scope to include milk products and residue testing. This extended capability is a result of the strategic alliance that has been formed with Analytica Laboratories.
MilkTestNZ are committed to meeting the ever changing needs of our customers. Over the last few years a number of issues have emerged in the dairy industry which have required immediate action. MilkTestNZ and Analytica were able to respond by providing testing solutions for the dairy industry.
